Cilantro Butter is a flavored butter that combines the creaminess of butter with the freshness of cilantro and a hint of citrus from lime juice. It can be used as a spread or as a finishing touch on grilled meats, fish, or vegetables.
Recipe[edit | edit source]
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
- Zest of 1 lime
- 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
- Salt, to taste
Preparation[edit | edit source]
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped cilantro, lime zest, and lime juice.
- Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Season with salt according to preference.
- Transfer the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper.
- Shape it into a log, then wrap tightly and refrigerate until set.
- Once firm, slice and serve with your desired dishes.

- Excellent on grilled steaks or fish.
- Can be spread on keto bread or keto tortillas.
- Melts wonderfully on hot vegetables, especially grilled asparagus or zucchini.
