A delicious and healthy side dish, Creamy Lemon Green Beans are a perfect addition to any meal. This recipe is keto-friendly, low in carbs, and packed with flavor.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 lb of fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Start by washing the green beans and trimming the ends.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the green beans to the pan and sauté for about 5 minutes, until they start to soften.
- Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and heavy cream to the pan. Stir well to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the green beans simmer in the cream sauce for about 10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the green beans are tender.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the green beans just before serving.
