- Emerald Isle is a town in Carteret County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Crystal Coast and is located entirely on the Bogue Banks. The town is largely a resort community and is part of the Morehead City Metropolitan Statistical Area.

- Emerald Isle is located on the western end of Bogue Banks, a barrier island facing the Atlantic Ocean. The town's year-round population was 3,655 as of the 2010 census, but during the summer vacation season, the population can swell to over 50,000.

- Emerald Isle was incorporated as a town in 1957. The name "Emerald Isle" was coined by the original developers, who intended to highlight the area's gem-like beauty.
