HPV vaccines

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellnesspedia

HPV vaccines are vaccines that protect against infection with human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is a sexually transmitted infection that can cause cervical cancer, anal cancer, and other types of cancer. The vaccines are typically given to children and young adults, and have been shown to be effective in reducing the risk of HPV-related cancers. Two HPV vaccines are currently available, Gardasil and Cervarix.
