Halloumiburger with Rutabaga Fries[edit | edit source]

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel the rutabagas and cut them into fries. Place them on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  3. While the rutabaga fries are baking, form the ground beef into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat a grill pan over medium heat. Grill the halloumi slices until golden brown on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Set aside.
  5. In the same pan, grill the beef patties to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a beef patty on a lettuce leaf, topping it with a slice of halloumi, a slice of tomato, and a few slices of avocado. Wrap the lettuce around the burger and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  7. Serve the halloumiburgers with the rutabaga fries on the side.
