Indian butter chicken
Keto Friendly Indian Butter Chicken[edit | edit source]
This is a recipe for a keto-friendly version of the classic Indian dish, Butter Chicken. It's rich, creamy, and full of flavor, but without the carbs!
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- Chicken: 500 grams, boneless and skinless
- Butter: 2 tablespoons
- Onion: 1, finely chopped
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger: 1 inch piece, grated
- Tomato puree: 1 cup
- Heavy cream: 1/2 cup
- Spices: 1 teaspoon each of turmeric, cumin, coriander, garam masala, and chili powder
- Salt: to taste
- Cilantro: for garnish
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Heat the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the chicken and cook until it is no longer pink.
- Add the spices and salt, and stir well to coat the chicken.
- Add the tomato puree and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
