Keto steak with bearnaise sauce
Keto Steak with Béarnaise Sauce[edit | edit source]

Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 2 ribeye steaks (8 oz each)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
For the Béarnaise Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons dry white wine
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh tarragon
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the steaks to the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust the cooking time to your preferred level of doneness.
- Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest.
For the Béarnaise Sauce:
- Combine the vinegar, wine, and shallots in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook until reduced by half.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks.
- Slowly add the reduced vinegar mixture to the egg yolks, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, whisking constantly, until thickened.
- Remove from heat and slowly whisk in the melted butter.
- Stir in the tarragon and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the steaks with the Béarnaise sauce.
