Keto Swedish Meatballs in Gravy[edit | edit source]
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1/2 cup Almond Flour
- 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Allspice
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, almond flour, heavy cream, egg, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and allspice. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in sour cream and Dijon mustard until well combined.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the gravy for another 5-10 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through and the gravy has thickened.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
