Low Carb Chicken Milanese with Turnip Fries and BBQ Dip[edit | edit source]
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- Chicken breast - 2 pieces
- Almond flour - 1 cup
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Turnip - 2, peeled and cut into fries
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - to taste
- BBQ sauce - 1/2 cup, sugar-free
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a shallow dish, mix the almond flour and parmesan cheese.
- Dip the chicken breasts in the beaten egg, then coat with the almond flour mixture.
- Place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
- While the chicken is baking, toss the turnip fries in olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the fries out on a separate baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy.
- Serve the chicken milanese with the turnip fries and a side of sugar-free BBQ sauce for dipping.
