Low Carb Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich[edit | edit source]
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 lb Thinly Sliced Beef
- 1 Green Bell Pepper, sliced
- 1 Onion, sliced
- 8 slices Provolone Cheese
- 4 Portobello Mushroom Caps
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and green bell pepper. Cook until they are softened.
- Place the portobello mushroom caps on a baking sheet. Top each cap with the cooked beef, onion, and bell pepper. Top each with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy your low carb Philly cheesesteak sandwich!
