- McLoud is a city located in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, United States. It is part of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area. The city was first settled in 1895 and has a rich history, with its roots in the development of the Oklahoma Territory.

- The city was named after John W. McLoud, an attorney for the Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad. McLoud was known for its large number of Scots-Irish settlers, who brought their unique culture and traditions to the area.

- McLoud is located in the central part of Oklahoma, approximately 30 miles east of Oklahoma City. The city covers an area of 8.4 square miles, of which the vast majority is land.
