Quick and easy bearnaise sauce
Quick and Easy Béarnaise Sauce[edit | edit source]
This is a simple and delicious recipe for a keto friendly Béarnaise sauce. It's perfect for steak, vegetables, or any other keto-friendly dishes you might be preparing.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1/4 cup of white wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup of dry white wine
- 2 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons of fresh tarragon, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Combine the vinegar, wine, and shallots in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until the liquid is reduced to about 2 tablespoons. This should take about 10 minutes.
- Strain the reduction into a heatproof bowl, pressing on the shallots to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the shallots.
- Add the egg yolks to the bowl with the reduction. Set the bowl over a saucepan of barely simmering water (do not let the bottom of the bowl touch the water) and whisk until the mixture is thick and creamy, about 2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the melted butter until the sauce is thick and smooth. Stir in the tarragon and season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
