- Sheridan is a small town located in Hamilton County, Indiana, United States. It is part of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1860 by George Boxley, who was a fugitive from Virginia due to his abolitionist activities. Sheridan is known for its rich history, small-town charm, and strong sense of community.

- Sheridan was originally called Millwood, and under the latter name was laid out and platted in 1860. The present name is for General Philip Sheridan, a Union Army leader.

- Sheridan is located at 40°8′2″N 86°13′12″W (40.133890, -86.220020). According to the 2010 census, Sheridan has a total area of 1.66 square miles (4.30 km2), all land.
