A delicious and satisfying keto friendly recipe, Turkey with Bacon Gravy is perfect for any meal. This recipe is high in protein and low in carbs, making it a great choice for those following a ketogenic diet.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 whole turkey
- 1 pound of bacon
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/4 cup of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Season the turkey with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover it with strips of bacon.
- Place the pan in the oven and roast the turkey for about 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- While the turkey is roasting, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the chicken broth to the saucepan and bring it to a simmer.
- Once the broth is simmering, add the heavy cream and stir until the gravy is smooth.
- When the turkey is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 15 minutes before carving.
- Serve the turkey with the bacon gravy.
