Blubervirales
Blubervirales is an order of viruses. This order was established by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) in 2019. The viruses in this order infect archaea, specifically those in the phylum Euryarchaeota.

The order Blubervirales contains the following families:
- Alphasalnaviridae
- Bluberviridae
- Caudoviricetes
- Guttaviridae
- Halopaniviridae
- Pleolipoviridae
- Salterproviridae
- Sphaerolipoviridae
Virology[edit | edit source]
The viruses in the order Blubervirales have a variety of morphologies. Some have icosahedral or spherical capsids, while others have rod-shaped or filamentous capsids. The genomes of these viruses are either DNA or RNA, and can be either single-stranded or double-stranded.
