Obesity in The Gambia[edit | edit source]
In 2016, The Gambia had an adult obesity rate of 10.3%, ranking it 138th globally. This is a significant health concern, as obesity is a risk factor for many non-communicable diseases, including heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
