Universidad Central del Este (UCE) is a private university located in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic. Founded on October 15, 1970, by Dr. José Hazim Azar, it was established with the primary aim of providing higher education opportunities in the eastern region of the Dominican Republic. The university is recognized for its significant contributions to the field of medical education, among other areas of study.
