Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS), also known as Disney Animation, is an American animation studio that creates animated feature films, short films, and television specials for The Walt Disney Company. Founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney, it is one of the oldest-running animation studios in the world. The studio has produced 59 feature films, starting with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), one of the first full-length animated feature films and the first one made in the United States; its most recent film was Encanto (2021).
