Für die prophylaktischen Maßnahmen kommen Personen in Frage, die an Ruhr erkrankt waren, die mit Ruhrerkrankten Kontakt hatten oder die in Betrieben arbeiten, von denen aus eine Verbreitung leicht erfolgen kann. Phagen sind "Bakterienfresser", virenähnliche Gebilde, die Bakterien angreifen und vernichten können. UBz: Im Berliner Org.-Büro der Friedensfahrt im Walter-Ulbricht-Stadion wurde bereits am 24.4.1962 mit der vorbeugenden Phagen-Schluckimpfung für alle an der Friedensfahrt beteiligten Personen begonnen.
