Engraving from a print titled Cooper's New York City Home, St. Mark's Place. The print depicts an 1831 Federal-style townhouse at 6 St. Marks Place between Second and Third Avenues, in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. James Fenimore Cooper resided there in about 1833.
