This category contains galaxies in the S (de Vaucouleurs for indeterminate) category or any galaxy where it is indeterminate whether the galaxy is SA, SB or SAB in its spiral nature.
- SA, S (Hubble) galaxies should be categorized under Category:Unbarred spiral galaxies
- SB galaxies should be categorized under Category:Barred spiral galaxies
- SAB galaxies (intermediate morphology) should be categorized under Category:Intermediate spiral galaxies
- Lenticular galaxies (S0, SA0, SAB0, SB0, E8) are categorized under Category:Lenticular galaxies
- Irregular galaxies with some spiral aspects (Irr-I type Sm) are categorized under Category:Irregular galaxies
- When the type of spiral is ambiguous categorize it here.
