This is a tracking category. It is used to build and maintain lists of pages—primarily for the sake of the lists themselves and their use in article and category maintenance. Pages where {{Year in country category}} is used with the extra parameter |nocountrycentury=yes. The effect of this parameter is that instead of categorising the page in "Category:Years of the nth century in CountryName", it is placed in "Category:Years in CountryName".
This is used for countries such as Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, and the Soviet Union, which existed only within one century.
