•   Currently  I am a practicing clinical cardiologist with 10 plus years of Cardiology experience in an apex community health setting. I have been a physician here in united states for 15 plus years with experience in academic teaching , clinical research and leadership . My Areas of special interest are Women and Heart disease, Cardio-Oncology, Cardio-Metabolic, Cardiac Imaging, and Preventive cardiology. I have Expertise in Invasive cardiology (Diagnostic cardiac catheterization), Echocardiography (2D, 3D, 4D, TTE, TEE, intra operative TEE, strain imaging), Stress test (treadmill, pharmacological) , Nuclear imaging (SPECT, PET), Cardiac Viability Imaging, Cardiovascular CT, Cardioversions, Vascular Imaging, Holter, and Event monitors etc.

My professional journey started in eastern part of India, where I was born and raised. I went to Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati ( M.K.C.G) medical college, orissa, India. After graduation in 2002, I worked as house officer ( resident doctor) at local clinics and then started providing volunteer health services to local community and underserved areas . I set my journey for post graduation education and achieve advanced care skills outside of India. Before joining residency in united states , I spent time doing volunteer work and observership in kingston public hospital, Jamaica. I completed both my internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at St John Hospital and Medical Center ( Ascension st john Hospital) , Detroit . After graduation in 2012, I moved to central Illinois and have been practicing as general clinical adult cardiologist at Decatur Memorial Hospital , Decatur , IL.
