Deciliter

Deciliter is a unit of volume in the metric system. The symbol for deciliter is dL. It is commonly used in medicine and science for measuring the volume of liquids.

A deciliter is equal to one tenth of a liter. It is also equivalent to 100 cubic centimeters or 6.10237 cubic inches.

Usage in Medicine[edit | edit source]

In medicine, the deciliter is often used to express concentrations of substances in blood or urine. For example, blood glucose levels are typically measured in milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL).

Conversion[edit | edit source]

To convert from deciliters to liters, multiply the number of deciliters by 0.1. To convert from liters to deciliters, multiply the number of liters by 10.
