What do dentists do?[edit source]
General dentists examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums. They may also treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting oral hygiene and retention of teeth. Dentists may also fit dental appliances or provide preventive dental care.
