The 1592–93 Malta Plague Epidemic was a significant outbreak of bubonic plague that struck the Maltese Islands between 1592 and 1593. Before the 1592–93 epidemic, Malta had experienced several outbreaks of the plague, with the most notable one occurring in 1523. The 1592–93 Malta plague epidemic left a lasting mark on the Maltese Islands.
