Atenolol/chlorthalidone

Atenolol/Chlorthalidone is a combination medication used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It contains two active ingredients: Atenolol, a beta blocker, and Chlorthalidone, a diuretic. This medication works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels. This effect lowers the heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.

Atenolol/Chlorthalidone is primarily used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). By lowering blood pressure, it can help prevent stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.
