Chateau
Chateau is a term used in the French language to refer to a manor house or a castle. The term is often used to describe a large country house located in the wine-producing regions of France, where it is associated with the production of wine.

The term "chateau" is also used in the Bordeaux wine region to refer to a wine estate, regardless of whether there is an actual chateau on the property. This usage is protected by French law, and only wines produced in certain regions are allowed to use the term "chateau" on their labels.
