Galbani

From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

Galbani is an Italian cheese manufacturing company. It was founded in 1882 by Egidio Galbani, a man who was passionate about crafting dairy products. Today, Galbani is recognized as one of the leading cheese producers not only in Italy but also worldwide.

History[edit | edit source]

Egidio Galbani founded the company in 1882 in the small town of Ballabio, Italy. His initial focus was on producing butter and cheese, which he sold in his small shop. The business quickly grew, and by the early 20th century, Galbani had become a well-known name in the Italian cheese industry.

In 1954, the company introduced its now-famous Mozzarella Galbani, which quickly became a staple in Italian households. This was followed by the launch of other popular products such as Dolcelatte in 1967 and Bel Paese in 1970.

Products[edit | edit source]

Galbani offers a wide range of dairy products, including mozzarella, ricotta, gorgonzola, and provolone. The company is particularly known for its mozzarella, which is made using traditional Italian methods.

In addition to cheese, Galbani also produces a variety of other dairy products, such as yogurt, butter, and cream. These products are sold under various brand names, including Galbani, Sorrento, and President.

Global Presence[edit | edit source]

Today, Galbani products are sold in more than 140 countries around the world. The company operates several production facilities in Italy, as well as in other countries such as the United States and France.
