NBPF15
(Redirected from MGC8902)
NBPF15 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NBPF15 gene. The function of this gene is not yet fully understood, but it is believed to play a role in neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that forms in certain types of nerve tissue.
Function[edit | edit source]
The NBPF15 gene is part of the neuroblastoma breakpoint family (NBPF) of genes, which are thought to be involved in the development of neuroblastoma. The exact function of the NBPF15 gene is not yet fully understood, but it is believed to play a role in the development of neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that forms in certain types of nerve tissue.
Clinical significance[edit | edit source]
Mutations in the NBPF15 gene have been associated with an increased risk of developing neuroblastoma. However, more research is needed to fully understand the role of this gene in the development of this disease.
