The Brewers Association is a non-profit organization that promotes and supports the interests of small and independent American craft brewers, their beers, and the community of brewing enthusiasts. The association is based in Boulder, Colorado, and was formed in 2005 through the merger of the Association of Brewers and the Brewers' Association of America.

History[edit | edit source]

The Brewers Association was established to provide a unified voice for small and independent brewers in the United States. The merger that created the Brewers Association combined the resources and missions of two organizations that had been serving the brewing community for decades. The Association of Brewers, founded in 1978, focused on promoting homebrewing and craft brewing, while the Brewers' Association of America, established in 1942, represented the interests of small brewers.

Mission and Goals[edit | edit source]

  • Promote craft beer as a beverage of choice for the discerning consumer.
  • Advocate for fair legislative and regulatory treatment of craft brewers.
  • Provide educational resources and networking opportunities for brewers and brewing enthusiasts.
  • Support the development of a sustainable brewing industry.
