Steering Committee

A Steering Committee is a group of high-level stakeholders who are responsible for providing guidance on overall strategic direction. They do not take the place of a Project Manager or Project Management Team, but serve as a decision-making body and can provide funding, advice, and direction to ensure the project's success.

The Steering Committee is typically composed of senior executives, including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), and other top-level management. It may also include representatives from key stakeholder groups, such as customers, suppliers, or employees.

The primary role of the Steering Committee is to provide strategic direction for the project. This includes defining the project's scope, goals, and objectives, as well as overseeing its progress and ensuring it aligns with the organization's overall strategy.

The Steering Committee is also responsible for:
