Angstrom (Å) is a unit of length in the metric system equal to 10⁻¹⁰ meters or 0.1 nanometers. It is commonly used to express the sizes of atoms, molecules, and microscopic biological structures, as well as the wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation and the dimensions of integrated circuit parts. The unit is named after the Swedish physicist Anders Jonas Ångström, who was a pioneer in the field of spectroscopy.
