253 (North Irish) Medical Regiment
253 (North Irish) Medical Regiment is a reserve unit of the Royal Army Medical Corps, part of the British Army. The regiment is based in Northern Ireland and provides medical support to the British Army in times of conflict and peace.

The 253 (North Irish) Medical Regiment was formed in 1967 as part of the reorganisation of the Territorial Army. The regiment was initially known as the 253rd (Ulster) Field Ambulance. It was renamed as the 253 (North Irish) Medical Regiment in 1995.

The primary role of the 253 (North Irish) Medical Regiment is to provide medical support to the British Army. This includes providing first aid, emergency medical care, and ongoing medical treatment to soldiers in the field. The regiment also provides medical training to other units in the British Army.

The 253 (North Irish) Medical Regiment is made up of several squadrons, each with its own specific role. These include a Headquarters Squadron, a Field Ambulance Squadron, and a Medical Squadron. Each squadron is made up of a number of platoons.
