6 (six) is the natural number following 5 and preceding 7. It is a composite number and the smallest perfect number.

In mathematics, 6 is a composite number and its proper divisors are 1, 2, and 3. It is the smallest perfect number, meaning that it is equal to the sum of its proper divisors: 1 + 2 + 3 = 6. The next perfect number is 28.
Six is also a triangular number, a hexagonal number, and a pronic number. It is the first factorial that is not a prime number: 3! = 6.

- In ice hockey, each team has six players on the ice at any one time.
