A-PONASA is a pharmaceutical drug used in the treatment of various medical conditions. It is a prescription medication, meaning it can only be obtained with a doctor's prescription.
Overview[edit | edit source]
A-PONASA is a type of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). NSAIDs are a class of drugs that provide analgesic and antipyretic effects, and in higher doses, anti-inflammatory effects. They work by inhibiting the activity of cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and/or COX-2).
Medical Uses[edit | edit source]
A-PONASA is used to treat a variety of conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It can also be used to manage acute pain and dysmenorrhea.
Side Effects[edit | edit source]
Like all medications, A-PONASA can cause side effects. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. More serious side effects can include gastric ulcers, bleeding, and kidney damage.
Contraindications[edit | edit source]
A-PONASA is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to NSAIDs, and in patients with a history of asthma, urticaria, or other allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.
Interactions[edit | edit source]
A-PONASA can interact with other medications, including anticoagulants, diuretics, and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.
