Adams County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of the 2020 census, the population was 3,796, making it Iowa's least-populous county. Its county seat is Corning.

Adams County is located in the southwestern part of Iowa, with its county seat, Corning, situated near the center of the county. The county's total area is 424 square miles, of which 423 square miles is land and 1.2 square miles is water.

Adams County was established by the Iowa state legislature in 1851 and was officially organized on March 12, 1853. The county was named in honor of the second President of the United States, John Adams, or his son, the sixth President, John Quincy Adams.
