Adia - pronunciation[edit source]
(uh-REH-dee-uh) drug used to treat hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels) caused by cancer and bone damage caused by multiple myeloma or breast cancer that has spread to the bone. It is also used to treat Paget's bone disease. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Aredia can help prevent bone loss and prevent calcium loss from bones. It's a type of bisphosphonate. Also called pamidronate disodium.
