Adil Osmanović
Adil Osmanović is a Bosnian politician who has held various significant positions in the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a member of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA).
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Adil Osmanović was born on 24 July 1963 in Bosanski Šamac, a town in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown. Osmanović graduated from the University of Sarajevo, where he earned a degree in political science.
Political Career[edit | edit source]
Osmanović's political career began in the early 1990s. He joined the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), which was founded by Alija Izetbegović and has been a major political force in Bosnia and Herzegovina since the country's independence.
Positions Held[edit | edit source]
- Minister of Civil Affairs: Osmanović served as the Minister of Civil Affairs in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2015 to 2019. During his tenure, he was responsible for various sectors including health, education, labor, and social policies.
- Member of the House of Representatives: He has been a member of the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina on multiple occasions, representing the interests of his constituents and his party.
- Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Osmanović also served as the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the two entities that make up the country.
