Adithya Varma
Adithya Varma is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Gireesaaya in his directorial debut and produced by Mukesh Mehta under E4 Entertainment. The film stars newcomer Dhruv Vikram, son of prominent Tamil actor Vikram, in the titular role alongside Banita Sandhu in her Tamil debut. It is a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy, which was released in 2017 and starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.
The narrative of Adithya Varma revolves around a brilliant but impulsive young surgeon, Adithya Varma (played by Dhruv Vikram), who spirals into self-destruction after the marriage of his girlfriend, Meera (played by Banita Sandhu), to someone else. The film explores themes of love, loss, and redemption, set against the backdrop of medical college and the healthcare profession.

Adithya Varma, a meritorious yet volatile medical student, excels in his academic pursuits but struggles with anger management issues. His life takes a tumultuous turn when he falls in love with Meera, a fellow medical student. Despite their deep affection, societal pressures and circumstances lead to Meera marrying another man, triggering a destructive path for Adithya. The film delves into Adithya's journey of self-destruction, substance abuse, and his eventual struggle towards healing and redemption with the help of his close friends and family.
