The administrative divisions of Sierra Leone are organized into four levels: provinces, districts, chiefdoms, and wards. These divisions are crucial for the country's governance, resource allocation, and local administration.

Sierra Leone is divided into four main provinces:
1. **Eastern Province** 2. **Northern Province** 3. **Southern Province** 4. **Western Area**
Each province is further subdivided into districts.
Districts[edit | edit source]
The country is divided into 16 districts. Each district serves as an administrative region with its own local government. The districts are:

Chiefdoms are traditional administrative units within the districts. There are 190 chiefdoms in Sierra Leone. Each chiefdom is headed by a paramount chief who plays a significant role in local governance and cultural affairs.
Wards[edit | edit source]
Wards are the smallest administrative units in Sierra Leone. They are used primarily for electoral purposes, with each ward electing representatives to local councils.
