Adulterers - pronunciation[edit source]


(uh-DUL-teh tot) A substance that is added to a product but not listed as an ingredient, or a substance that is accidentally introduced into a product during the manufacture of the product. Adulterants can be found in foods, pharmaceuticals and other products. An adulterator can make a product harmful, cheaper to manufacture, or not work as it should.
