Adventure Time is a 2008 animated short film created by Pendleton Ward. It served as the pilot for the animated television series Adventure Time, which later premiered on Cartoon Network in 2010. The short film was produced by Frederator Studios and was initially aired on Nicktoons Network.

The short film follows the adventures of a boy named Pen (later renamed Finn) and his magical dog, Jake, as they embark on a quest to rescue Princess Bubblegum from the Ice King. The short is known for its unique animation style, quirky humor, and imaginative world-building.

The short film was created by Pendleton Ward while he was a student at the California Institute of the Arts. It was produced by Fred Seibert as part of the Random! Cartoons series on Nicktoons Network. The success of the short led to the development of the full-length series Adventure Time.
