AgeX's research and development efforts are primarily focused on developing innovative cell-based therapeutics for use in regenerative medicine. The company's lead product candidates are AGEX-BAT1, AGEX-VASC1, and induced Tissue Regeneration (iTR).
AGEX-BAT1 is a cell therapy for metabolic diseases such as Type II diabetes. AGEX-VASC1 is a cell therapy for ischemic diseases. Induced Tissue Regeneration (iTR) is a drug-based approach to regenerate tissues in the body to a young state.
