Alfredo James "Al" Pacino (born April 25, 1940) is an American actor and filmmaker. He is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors in the history of cinema. Pacino has received numerous accolades and awards throughout his career, including an Academy Award, two Tony Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards, making him one of the few performers to have achieved the "Triple Crown of Acting."

Al Pacino was born in East Harlem, New York City, to Italian-American parents. His parents divorced when he was two years old, and he was subsequently raised by his mother and grandparents in the Bronx. Pacino reprised his role as Michael Corleone in The Godfather Part II (1974) and The Godfather Part III (1990). Other notable films include Serpico (1973), Dog Day Afternoon (1975), ...And Justice for All (1979), Scarface (1983), Scent of a Woman (1992), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor, and Heat (1995).

In the 2000s and 2010s, Pacino continued to work in both film and television. He starred in Insomnia (2002), The Merchant of Venice (2004), Ocean's Thirteen (2007), and The Irishman (2019). He also portrayed Jack Kevorkian in the television film You Don't Know Jack (2010), earning a Primetime Emmy Award.
