Alfred Molina
Alfred Molina (born 24 May 1953) is a British-American actor known for his work in film, television, and theatre. He has appeared in a wide range of roles in both dramatic and comedic productions.

Alfred Molina was born Alfredo Molina in Paddington, London, to a Spanish father and an Italian mother. His father, Esteban Molina, was a waiter and chauffeur, while his mother, Giovanna, was a cook. Molina grew up in a working-class neighborhood and developed an interest in acting at a young age.

Theatre[edit | edit source]
Molina began his career in theatre, performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre. He gained recognition for his role in the play Oklahoma! and later appeared in productions such as Art and Fiddler on the Roof.
Film[edit | edit source]
Molina made his film debut in the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark, where he played the role of Satipo. He gained further recognition for his role as Kenneth Halliwell in the 1987 film Prick Up Your Ears. Molina's versatility as an actor has allowed him to play a wide range of characters, from the villainous Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2 to the comedic role of Rahad Jackson in Boogie Nights.
Other notable films include Frida, Chocolat, The Da Vinci Code, and An Education.

Molina has also had a successful career in television. He starred in the series Law & Order: LA and had recurring roles in shows such as Feud and Angie Tribeca. He has also lent his voice to various animated series and films.

Molina became a U.S. citizen in 2004. He was married to actress Jill Gascoine from 1986 until her death in 2020. He has one daughter, Rachel Molina, from a previous relationship.
