All-American Publications
All-American Publications was one of the early comic book companies that eventually merged to form the modern-day DC Comics. It was founded in 1938 by Max Gaines, who is also credited with pioneering the format of the modern comic book.

All-American Publications was established in 1938 by Max Gaines and Jack Liebowitz. The company was based in New York City and quickly became one of the leading comic book publishers of the Golden Age of Comic Books. The company is best known for creating some of the most iconic characters in comic book history, including Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash.
In 1944, All-American Publications merged with National Allied Publications and Detective Comics, Inc. to form National Periodical Publications, which would later become known as DC Comics. This merger brought together a vast array of characters and stories under one roof, solidifying the company's place in comic book history.

All-American Publications introduced several characters that have become staples in the comic book world:
- Green Lantern - Created by Bill Finger and Martin Nodell, the original Green Lantern, Alan Scott, debuted in All-American Comics #16 in 1940.
- Wonder Woman - Created by William Moulton Marston and artist H. G. Peter, Wonder Woman first appeared in All Star Comics #8 in 1941.
- The Flash - The original Flash, Jay Garrick, was created by Gardner Fox and Harry Lampert and first appeared in Flash Comics #1 in 1940.
