Anthony Gobert (born 5 March 1975) is a retired Australian professional motorcycle racer. He is known for his success in various motorcycle racing championships, including the Superbike World Championship and the AMA Superbike Championship.

Anthony Gobert was born in Greenacre, New South Wales, Australia. He began his racing career at a young age, quickly rising through the ranks of Australian motorcycle racing.

Superbike World Championship[edit | edit source]

Gobert made his debut in the Superbike World Championship in 1994, riding for the Kawasaki team. He quickly made a name for himself with his aggressive riding style and natural talent. In 1995, he won his first race at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, becoming one of the youngest riders to win a World Superbike race.

In 1996, Gobert moved to the United States to compete in the AMA Superbike Championship. He joined the Vance & Hines Ducati team and achieved significant success, including multiple race wins. His performance in the AMA series further solidified his reputation as one of the top riders in the world.

Gobert returned to the Superbike World Championship in 1999, riding for the Bimota team. Despite facing challenges with the team's machinery, he managed to secure several podium finishes. His career, however, was marred by off-track issues, including substance abuse problems, which affected his performance and consistency.
