Apple Valley is a town located in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is situated in the Mojave Desert and is part of the Inland Empire region. With a population of 69,135 as of the 2010 census, Apple Valley is the 47th largest city in California.

Apple Valley was incorporated as a town on November 14, 1988. The area was originally inhabited by the Serrano people, a Native American tribe. The town's name is derived from the apple orchards that were once abundant in the area.

Apple Valley is located at . It covers a total area of 73.50 square miles (190.41 km2), all of which is land. The town is situated at an elevation of 2,556 feet (779 m) above sea level.

According to the 2010 census, Apple Valley had a population of 69,135 people. The population density was 940.6 inhabitants per square mile (363.0/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 73.6% White, 10.2% African American, 1.3% Native American, 4.5% Asian, 0.6% Pacific Islander, 5.2% from other races, and 4.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 18.3% of the population.
