Arab American University (AAU) is a private Palestinian higher education institution founded in 2000. It is located in Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank. The university was established to provide innovative educational opportunities to students in Palestine and to contribute to the academic and professional sectors of Palestinian society and beyond. Arab American University is notable for being the first private university in the Palestinian territories and has a partnership with California State University, Stanislaus in the United States for academic collaboration and exchange.
